Support
We provide accessible presentations covering Little Wandle phonics lessons and the importance of Reading for Pleasure for you to use in parent workshops. Our public For parents area is a treasure trove of videos and downloads for you to signpost parents to.
Resources
Videos and resources in the For parents area have been specifically designed to support Little Wandle schools to introduce important concepts to families and to answer their FAQs. These include why the Little Wandle book that goes home is one that their child can already read and the importance of reading aloud.
Our downloads and videos for you to share with parents are split into Support for phonics and How we teach (including eye-catching downloads introducing all the sounds). We also have a Books coming home section where the difference between reading and sharing books is clearly explained in a short video.
Our growing bank of short videos explains the different elements of Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme in an accessible format for parents and carers.
A parent-friendly version of the For teachers resource means that families can help children practice tricky words at home.
